ECHO Guide

Open the link in your invitation email. ECHO asks you to choose a password and fill in a few details about yourself, then shows you a short guide and takes you to your church. The link works once and is meant only for the address it was sent to.

Open People, or press the button in the middle of the bar at the bottom of the screen, and choose Invite. Each invitation goes to one email address and can be used once. Church Administrators and Leaders can invite; if you do not see the option, ask one of them.

The button in the middle of the bar at the bottom of every screen. It is where new things start — inviting someone, creating a task — and it only ever offers what your role actually permits, so nothing in it leads to a locked door.

Tasks record who is doing something, by when, and whether it is done. Anything assigned to you appears on your Home screen. Administrators and Leaders can create tasks and assign them; everyone can see and complete what is assigned to them.

Open Profile from the menu. You can change your name and how your community reaches you at any time. Your username is permanent — it is how people find and mention you, so it is deliberately not editable.

ECHO is invitation-based. You belong to a church because somebody in it invited you, and everything you see belongs to that community and only that community. If you are ever part of more than one, you can switch between them without the two mixing.

Church Administrators look after the church itself and the people in it. Leaders carry responsibility for particular work and can invite people and assign tasks. Everybody else is simply part of the community — that is not a lesser rank, it is most of a church.

Open People and find them there — administrators are shown with their role. Anything to do with your church itself, such as who is invited, what your role is, or your church details, is theirs to decide rather than ECHO’s.

Child registration is not available in ECHO yet. It is being designed so that a parent registers a child, an administrator reviews it, and the record stays with the parent — a child never gets an ECHO account. Until it is built, speak to your church administrator directly.

Ministries, teams and approvals are not available yet. The Ministries, Teams and Approvals screens explain themselves as coming soon rather than pretending to work. Ministry work is still arranged the way your church arranges it today.

Not yet. Photos need storage and access rules that protect them properly, so rather than offer an upload control that quietly fails, there is none until that is done.
